This is one full on puppy. When we get up on the morning, Finlay goes out to do his business, demands his breakfast and then it is go-go-go. He starts playing with his toys and bullying you into playing too. He is certainly more hardcore with his dad than his mum, he already seems to be learning that mum is the alpha female around here so obeys her commands and tellings-off straight away. But he has also realised that dad is a way down the pecking order and can therefore take more liberties…..I’m trying to resolve that, but he is more of a devil with me unless I am very firm. I love it how clever they are and can work that out, daft dogs certainly are not!

He has a bad habit of chewing my slippers, whether I’m in them or not, or playing tug of war with my jeans or being a bit rough with biting. I make all the right squealing noises so he realised it hurts, and it REALLY does hurt sometimes, so he has to learn bite inhibition. He is improving without a doubt, but continued training in this area is necessary, and he can learn because he is a very clever dog that’s for sure.

Try not to laugh as this 3.5kg puppy tries to take down a full grown man.....
