After the arrangements were finally made, Aileen kindly agreed to meet us ‘halfway’ rather than us drive all the way back up to Perth to collect Finlay. August bank holiday Monday was the day we decided on, we drove up to Crewe Railway Station and brought him home.
He travelled down with Aileen by train from Edinburgh that day and by car from Perth to Edinburgh. He slept most of the way on the train and almost all the way in the car, without hardly a whine or squinny. He was a superstar, and our worries of a nightmare journey were unfounded, both in terms of a scared puppy and travelling on the last bank holiday of the summer holidays…..we must have been mad, but we got away with it.
As you can see Finlay was so stressed out by the whole affair, here he is scoffing his lunch in the back of my car. "Scoffing" and Finlay are to become a bit of a theme in his life!
This is a blog about our Tibetan Spaniel puppy called Finlay. I'll try to tell you a little bit about his story as he grows up in his first few months.
